Empowering Independence Through Pre-Vocational Training


Pre-vocational training in occupational therapy is a structured program designed to prepare individuals with disabilities, aged 13 to 21, for future employment and independent living. It focuses on developing foundational skills such as self-care, motor coordination, time management, social interaction, and task completion.
This is a one year program divided into four semesters. Participants have to commit by attending four days a week, with daily sessions lasting 4–6 hours depending on the day’s topics.
Through tailored activities like mock workplace simulations, job exploration, and adaptive equipment training by different professionals such as occupational therapist, physiotherapist, special educator, clinical psychologist and etc, participants build the confidence and abilities needed to transition into vocational settings.
This program emphasizes individualized goals, collaboration with professionals, and community integration to ensure long-term success and independence.
